Current Issues

Repeal Senate Bill 1
Thanks to all who signed the petitions. Signatures are being verified and we hope to start our campaign against the bill later this summer as the issue appears on the November ballot.
Tips During This Terrible Time
| 1. Do not Isolate Yourself. Come to the meetings as you need to be with likeminded people. Please read the Newsletter. 2. Get Involved with an activity whether small or large. Please volunteer. 3. Remember, do not give up your Power freely. Do not give up your Constituent Power whether you have MAGA Reps or not. They need to know that we are not going away. 4. Do Not Obey in Advance. Synder says, most of the power of authoritarianism is freely given. Anticipatory obedience means adapting instinctively, without reflecting, to a new situation. 5. Support and defend our institutions, they cannot do it alone. Public schools are a prime target for us to defend. 6. Do not become overwhelmed. That is what they want. Keep your head about you. If you can only focus on one issue, then focus on the one issue. 7. Be As Courageous as You Can. It is a choice to be courageous and courageous acts are different for different people. Courage can be doing small acts on a daily basis like writing a letter to the editor even though you are afraid. Tyrants who see that we can take a risk, take small chances of courage, will be less likely to take risks. |
